On this anniversary of one of the most tragic days in American history....I would like you all to join me in a moment of silence..... 60............ 50........ 40...... 30.... 20... 10.. Thank you! May God continue to watch over us all and take away the pain that makes others want to hurt Americans simply because of how we live. * Related stories..... * Its so easy to forget that many in DC lost their lives as well. To be honest with you.....I think I was the most excited to see Baltimore in a Nah Right Headline!! LOL! WHooooo hooooo! Now we are playin in the big leagues. Baltimore's music is really starting to generate a buzz outside of here...who is REALLY ready? * Nah Right's comments are always the best! Here are a few of personal favorites (as they relate to Bmore): President Carter Says: September 11th, 2006 at 11:08 am 2007 PREDICTION: BALTIMORE WILL BE THE CITY TO MAKE EAST COAST HIP-HOP RELEVANT AGAIN!!!! * GRIP Says: September 11th, 2006 at 11:26 am The Wire was dope last night....Baltimore is crazy down there.....they need some mc's to come out.....somehow I think they will be more believable with their lyrics than alot of cats that's out these days. * coldplayReggaetonslasher Says: September 11th, 2006 at 11:32 am the wire was dope I agree, but bmore niggas don't know if they should rap or snap, they suffer from an identity crisis. Plus them Philly cats too hungry to let bmore niggas get any shine.
*awaits billz response with ether soaked projectiles* * PRESIDENT CARTER Says: September 11th, 2006 at 11:52 am
@ Coldplay Philly already has mc's in the game (Cassidy, Beans, Free, etc.), and they don't have enough power and sucess in the game to determine if B-more gets shine or not. How Philly gonna stop another city from shining??? Ya'll don't even support your own (i.e. THE ROOTS), and as far as the identity crisis, I think that being in between NY and The South creates a distinct sound that is missing from hip-hop right now. *
LOL! We have defenders! I love it! * Wade Waters: Insightful Rhymes I checked out these guys music this weekend on MYSPACE and can honestly say I was feeling it. I'm very familiar with Soulstice (having seen him perform before and using his website as an example of a GREAT ONE!!! - no surprises there), but the other guy (D.C.-artist Haysoos) impressed me as well. These two guys compliment each other well. According to a recent press release, the duo have begun recording an entire album as Wade Waters, which is due out on Wandering Soul in the fall of 2006 with distribution through Raptivism/Ryko. That is phenominal. I will be looking out for the moves these guys make.
