FORGET WHAT I THINK ......HERE'S A FAN PERSPECTIVE: * Date: Aug 21, 2006 8:09 PM Subject: Repost about Baltimore Music PLEASE READ * Look last night I went to the Latin Palace and saw something that I haven't seen in a LONG TIME................Baltimore artists performing and showing love to each other. Baltimore hip Hop is alive and kicking. The show was the SHIT. If you haven't heard the names Shell BE RAW, Ogun, or Skarr Akbar YA'LL AINT REALLY REPPIN UR CITY!!!!!! Mad love goes out to Shell Be RAW, Ogun, Skarr Akbar, C.R. Da Show, Huli Shallone, and D.O.G. (newest signee to Universal Records) The show was bonkers but it lead me to realize something..........I really know why the music scene hasn't bubbled up quick enough in Baltimore. Its the lack of exposure for our Hip Hop artists and the lack of love being shown to club music. This might confuse some so let me explain. The DJ's that spin in the clubs do not bang our local artists, they don't have our local artists on their mix CD's, and you don't hear them on the radio that often. So a lot of people don't even know about some of these artists. Now the hip hop set most the most part doesn't like club music, doesn't respect club music, and hates to hear club music. So they get angry when they have to hear songs like Slyde to the left on the radio every day. Now I love club music cuz I love to dance but I also love hip hop and I like to hear it too. The only way that Baltimore can stand up for real is to fused all of this shit togther. Baltimore is gettin attention now because of club music whether people choose to like it or not. Its also the time to let people also know that we have artists that can spit for real and move units. I'ma ask for all my club music lovers to cop 2 CD's (Street Radio Volume 3 mixed by DJ Radio and Clinton Sparks and Its Baltimore Baby mixed by DNA and hosted by C Love). Also club music lovers come check out some of the hip hop events like Its Baltimore Baby at Sonar on the 30th. Now Baltimore Hip Hop lovers I would asked ya'll to also do this, come holla at some of the people who make club music like a Blaqstarr, Say Wut, Debonair Samir, etc..... cuz I know them all personally and they love hip hop and they make hip hop beats too. They also fuse club beats into hip hop which will broaden your audiences. Drop your cd's to these club DJ's too because they don't play club music the whole night. There is no reason that more people shouldn't be hearing Shell BE RAW (the girl spits fire and looks good), Ogun (brings some raw hip hop), Skarr Akbar (this nigga is STRAIGHT FIRE!!!!!), Backland (I'll see you and Stackz on the 30th my nigga), COMP, 1st Family, Don Brody, MullyMan (yo I am ready for us to do a track together), Golden Seal, Brown F.I.S.H. (what up O.O.H.), Huli Shallome (my boss Say Wut gave him a fire track), D.O.G. (much love to Invisible Set) and others. I'ma do my part WHEN I GET THE MUSIC. But even tho i am the most popular nobody in Baltimore, it takes the whole city to make this city something. We know that we are the shit so lets show the world that Baltimore is the shit. Go holla at or find all of these people I mentioned on MySpace and show them SOME REAL LOVE. * BJ DaChozen1ne, the most popular nobody in Bmore(very talented brother!!!! please visit his store in SECURITY MALL for all of your airbrush design needs) C Love, Ebony, DNA, DJ Lil Mic, and DJ 5 Starr I GOT YA'll watch how this little dude is gonna carry it BUT I'ma need a little help. I know how to find ya'll now. P.S. If you are feeling what I said then repost it * * please repost ANYWHERE if you feelin him! ........MORE PEOPLE WERE ARE PASSIONATE AS HIM |
