Well just in case you aren't familiar with any of those monikers....perhaps you are familiar with his work. Chief engineer for many of Baltimore's up and coming artists like Ogun, Shellbe Raw, Tim Trees, XO and numerous others, Mike Mac's imprint is all over Baltimore music. If you want to know what is the Baltimore sound...see him!

In honor of his contribution, he will be given an award that has historically been given to others who oftentimes do not get the credit they deserve, but who undoubtedly help so many by simply "doing what they do". I attended past ceremonies for Backland and Ro Brooks and was very impressed with the presentation.
