I listen to very little radio, but I sometimes catch a few minutes of
92 Q's "5 o' Clock Drive" on my way home from work every day. Not sure when I first noticed....but I noticed that for
2 nights in a row there was none of the typical corny ass
"KO-KANE-CLEZZY" references. At one break.... Konan was like "
uuuuh...u in the 5 O'Clock Mix with your man Konan, PORKchop and Jay Claxton" all like dazed and bewildered......
it was so crazy. I like Konan alot. He has been on the station forever. Don't get me wrong...I dig all three personalities [
individually and collectively], but the
"KOOOOO-KANE-CLEZZY" thing made my skin crawl. Well, thanks to the people at [
hip hop rukus] the mystery has been solved....
some what :-( ?
I still don't know why, but she has defintely left Baltimore. One tidbit I found interesting....she wasn't even from here...
go figure.?! I hope the next "personality" they get is from here
#1, realizes the powerful influence they could have in the community
#2 and
#3 uses that power for good -
to unite. I know it sounds far fetched, but hey...I'm puttin it out in the universe. My prayers go out to Erika...I kind of got the impression that the break was not amicable
despite the words used to describe her departing.
If you have a moment....send ole gurl some
LOVE. You really never know who people are going to
go on to become.
Plus, we are trying to change how people view Baltimore...we got to start
showin love if we ever want it returned.
