I attended the BEKATAINMENT event at the 5 Seasons last night. The show featured a diverse line up of acts that represented spots all up and down 1-95. Harlem X, this PR MC from Jerz [HOT! HOT! HOT!] and femcee Butter B [f/ fleetwood...he was memorable] all took took the stage like seasoned pros. So full of youth and vitality...LOL! I got tired just watching them. In addition, Mr Whitfolks [yes!!! Thats his name - reppin for Chocolate City]....set it off with his crew, Dem Re Up Boyz [I think that is their name...LOL!], and shut it down. Ima keep it real...his name REALLY erked me at first, but now....Im kinda over it......I mean ...we all have to make our mark some kind of way. Our names preceed us....so with a name like that....folk are already gonna be curious about you before you even open your mouth. But what gets him a pass is that his verbal skills and swagger [even for a white boy...j/k] are undeniable. ....[I luv me some white folks....ah man...see how that sounds...LOL!] Once he gets your attention...if you are feelin him.....what he calls himself matters little. * Other performers included XO [Mr. Cocked N Loaded] who peformed 3 BANGERS and left. That is how you do it!!!! All of your songs were on point!!! Too many people were up there FAR too long!!! Also on the card was Shellbe Raw....she did her thang as usual!!!! Whenever you see Shellbe Raw's name on the card expect some thing out of the usual. Your performance was worthy of the Headliner status. Keep it up!!! *
All in all...had fun!!!! Would def recommend this event. I felt safe...LOL! They give events all the time....so stay tuned! I ran into DJ Debonair Samir [Producer for Diry Hartz/Windsor Inn- Saturdays], Kelly Connelly [Music Monthly], Jen Jones [up in there getttin her grind on...Check her out with the new "RYDA GYRL" T shirts!!!!], Sirit [White Folks for Prez campaign manager], Ebony [Ms. "Her money ain't good enough"....LOL! Some folk are so lame!!!]....N/A [BEKA host]....Niige [ARS - Beat assasin]....the entire 5 Seasons staff!!!....the cooks!!! OMG! Get the fish platter.....the whiting was sooooo ghood!!!! DJs Dave Ill and NSI [I didnt get the chance to intro myself this go round ....SORRY!!!] Yall was killing it in between sets!!!! I will have to get with you.   Harlem X
