MAY 19, 2006 - MALCOLM X Regardless of what you may think of his methods, mission or ideology, you cannot deny that this man died before his time. He was one of the last TRUE American civil rights leaders. I cannot help but wonder how things would be if he would have been allowed to fully evolve. I'm a few days late, but I wanted to take the time out to recognize an African American figure who's ultimate message must NEVER be fogotten. The saying...."By any means necessary" has become such the cliche', but the essence of the message has not! * So many rappers have adopted that message as a slogan, but how many of them really believe what they are saying? Let's get it together! We must be responsible for everything that we put out in the universe. Like malcom said, we love our masters more than we love ourselves. Let's stop talkin about killin more niggas. The slavery were are currently in is mental. As Dead Prez put it, "Let's Get Free", by any means necessary! *HISTORY LESSON:
Malcolm X was born Malcolm Little on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. If not for the murder of Malcolm X, the 81st birthday of this civil rights leader would be on Friday, May 19th 2006. Malcolm X was killed February 21, 1965 in Harlem, at the Audubon Ballroom in New York.
As ALWAYS, Davey D is always on the job!
