I'm not really sure about who is on the bill (if you look at the flyer....you may even think I am performing...LOL!), but this should a well attended event. Lots of folk round B'more have a tremendous amount of love and respect for this pioneer of the Baltimore Club Sound. * I am going to try my darndest to make it to Low Key's jump off, but tomorrow I am def going to be stopping by Cobbers [old Henry & Jeff's] on Charles Street (by Preston St.) to see my peoples Lionel Lyles and his quintet do their thang! Jazzzzzzzz, mayne!!! They often feature a special guest performer too (vocalists, poets, MCs, orators)......so come on out and support our regional talent!! * I have been saying ima go for the longest time....Its one thing to see them perform with another artist, but its a qualitatively different experience when they are the feature & they are performing their own material. I can't wait - for real!!! This Band is awesome!!! Young brothas too!!! * Lionel, TOMORROW I AM THERE!!! * You too...should come out and check out Lionel Lyles Quintet [<------ link - Please check out their MYSPACE page]. They put it down each and every Thursday night from 8-10 PM $15 all night or $20 per couple!!! DRINK SPECIAL AND THE KITCHEN IS OPEN!!! * ......I can vouch for Cobber's food....its really ghood! Just don't get the pizza (I was not impressed!) * See...there is more to life than Hip Hop!!! LOL! |
