Everyone that promotes the Hip Hop culture in any way should have a clear understanding of Hip Hop's influence. "There is a war going on outside"....There is no way that people can use the excuse, "I'm a rapper, not a role model" with a clear conscience any more [Charles Barkely was publicly lambasted for making a similar statement back in the day]. This is yet another fine example of what happens when grown folk forget that they are still grown folk despite the fact that they are being paid to act like a child.
As many of you know, most of today's Hip Hop headlines announce that Star (<---pictured grey) of the infamous duo, Star and Buckwild, was fired for making some ignorant ass comments on air. The thing that kills me is that almost every single major headline has Hip Hop in the title in some kind of way -- WHY??
As stated on Xpinionated: "Hip hop has nothing to do with the statements made by this dj. None whatsoever.... It's funny, when a Rock N Roll Dj gets fired, the type of music the station formerly employing said dj doesn't get mentioned. In fact, only when it is hip hop is the music mentioned....." WORD!!!
* * I for one am tired of the negative stigma attached to Hip Hop by the media...when is enough.....ENOUGH??? Is there anything that can be done to make them stop??
Taken from NY Daily News: "Hip-hop jock's sick rap"
"Torain offered listeners $500 to tell him where the daughter of nemesis DJ Envy, of Hot 97, went to school." Oh my!!!Yes, I disrespect your seed," Torain ranted. "If you didn't hear me, I said I would like to do an R. Kelly on your seed. On your little baby girl."
Whaaaaaaaaad?
Torain, 42, described in graphic detail what he meant by the reference to the R&B singer Kelly, who allegedly committed an unnatural act on an underage girl, a stunt captured on a widely circulated video.
WTF? He should freakin know betta. I hope Envy doesn't respond, but a man should NEVER talk about doing anything to someone else's kids. The child he was referring to is 4 years old. *
