"Notice down here, Hip-Hop is a movement. Every city has their own artists, but collectively, everybody is from "The South" be it Memphis, Miami, ATL, H-Town, etc... That collectivity and unity is what has helped the movement so much and Master P always let you know that he wasn't putting you on that "New Orleans Shit", he was putting you on that "Down South Shit..." And that's why everybody Down South felt him because he made himself relative to your situation..."
Anybody that has ever sat in on one of my State of Baltimore Hip Hop rants knows....this is the piece of the puzzle that I always say is missing here. Everyone always wants to use the South as the "gold standard" for how to get on...yet no one really pays attention to the actual moves they make!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! * Let's get people on this Baltimore ish! At this point...who really gives a damn about your CD being ready to drop?!?!?!?! Please read the entire article...dude makes some really great points! *

My barber down here is from Baltimore. My aunt lives in Silver Spring. Y'all ain't "South" geographically; but I feel you on your point. All my cousins up there are country as shit; even though there's more streets there than trees :)...
Anyway, I'm always down for a different perspective; so please believe your link will be up ASAP. Keep reppin' for Baltimore and the entire MD. Peace folk...
