As you know, music opens eyes, doors, minds and hearts. Music allows for expression, healing and self discovery. As you will soon discover, Punk-Hop-N-B Difrint is an organization focused and dedicated to the uplifting of charm citys flourishing music community. * On Friday, June 30th, 2006, at the 5 Seasons night club, Punk-Hop-N-B Difrint will be hosting the BMore Flava: Talent Showcase & After Party, an event that will unite R&B, Gospel, Hip Hop, and Spoken Word. This event will allow aspiring and unsigned artist in the Baltimore area the opportunity to be heard and network. * As a participant in this event: * You are guaranteed exposure amongst your peers; as well an opportunity to win prizes that could help further your career in your respective genre. * As the winner of the event: * You will receive the ultimate prize package that covers the essentials to creating a buzz in the local and national industry. * The winner will receive: An opportunity to choose four tracks from Top Notch Productions, Washington DCs premier beat maker, huge catalog of hip hop, jazz, and R&B beats. * A four hour studio package from Seeker A R, one of the premier recording and engineering facilities in Baltimore. * $100.00 cash to cover small expenditures related to the recording of your project * A dynamic CD cover from Punk-Hop-N-B Difrint A dynamic poster sized copy of your CD cover * The runner up of this event you will receive: A track from Rawtech Productions, one of Baltimores premier producers and engineers * MORE PRIZES TO BE ANNOUNCED * How will this event be judged? * The BMore Flava: Talent Showcase & After Party will be judged by some of Baltimores top music industry personalities in terms of talent; a natural, special and often creative or artistic aptitude, creativity; having the quality of something unique not imitated, and charisma; a special, magnetic charm or appeal. Audience participation is also a factor, so be sure to bring your friends and family. Each contestant will have 4 to 5 minutes to perform (Note anything over 5 minutes is subject to penalties against the performer). Each contestant will be ranked on a scale of 1 to 10 in each of the three categories, with the audience participation counting as additional bonus points. The artist with the most points wins. The top 3 contestants will also receive a trophy/certificate, and in the event of a tie, the audience will choose. Once again, bring a friend. * Is there an entry fee? * There is a non refundable entry fee of $20.00 that must be paid in full before your spot in the showcase is secured. The entry fee covers the admission of up to 4 performers. These performers must be on stage or they will be asked to leave the show. Any group compromising more that 4 members must pay the $10.00 for each additional member. In order to promote variety, there will be a limit placed on the amount of rappers, singers, poets, etc. allowed to compete.
