    Update!!!

Saturday was so crazy.....I know many of you have not seen me in a while, but I had micro mini braids in my head. Needless to say....I was up very late 3 nights in a row taking the thangs out....didn't get to the salon until almost 11 a.m. and still had to find an out fit (or at least a slick shirt). I finished up about 3:30 pm (more than enough time to get a top - you would think lol!). In my quest to be different, I think I stopped by every "chic" boutique in the midtown/towntown area. Didn't find a dang thing!!!! Big Ups to my gurl , MAKKAH (Charles Village - Charles and 25th)!!! She has awesome and very different pieces - USUALLY. Come to find out.....she is shifting her focus to men's wear. I tried on one top...it was really cute (plunging neckline, puffed shoulders, wrap around), but I think my head would have been blue by 10:00 pm (YES!!! it squeezed my arms that tight!) Please stop in and see her - she also sells one of a kind handbags, jewelery and shoes (ladies, she sells larger sizes too!!!!). Her pieces are pricey, but being original is priceless.......After I left MAKKAH's, I stopped by STAR WON (1015 Cathedral St. Baltimore, MD 21202 (410) 962-7277). I was really pumped up because M said the owner was a "curvy diva", as she likes to call us stallions, and that translated into cool clothes for those with a lil extra or at the very least....clothes with a good amount of lycra. I arrived......and had the pleasure of meeting the owner (sorry, I forgot her name, but she was a peach) and while she was very nice and responsive to my needs......SHE HAD NOTHING!!!!! NOTHING!!!! NOTHING!!! NOTHING!!!!! AT ALL!!!!! lol! By this time it was around 4:45PM and I was getting a little nervous......

Next stop - EXCLUSIVELY YOURS (above Subway @ Charles and Read Streets (410) 244-6768 ). Come to find out....this was the girl that used to own the acessory cart that sat to the left at the top of the elevators in Mondawnmin throughout the summer. WAY TO MOVE UP, HOME GURL!!! I love to see people progress. I didn't see anything in the store that really fit me (I tell ya, I would like to know how they came up with the designation large - That's a joke!!!)......I def wanted to show her some love so I spent like $50 on some jewelery that I love, but defintiely do not need. Its all good tho, Ima def go back and see her and you should too. EY is right next door to another boutique, Vintage Blu. I looked in the window and everything looked really small so I did not go in....LOL! Plus the color scheme reminded me of the Limited or Lerner's back in the day (remember when they used to only sell neutral colors?? I just about fell out the first time I saw a red shirt in Lerner's)

So.......in my mind: I don't need to be at the venue until 9. Its 5:30 and guess where I was on my way to?..............SECURITY MALL! lol I know I was dead wrong, but I had nothing to wear. Sure I knew about this show since before Christmas......LOL! I do not know why us ladies have such a problem with procrastination - especially when it comes to clothing.
    *
Needless to say.........I was late as heck! I'm always fussing at folk about getting to the venue early and what do ya know....I was late. I promise I will cut acts some slack from now on.....LOL! I literally walked in...and was promptly ushered on stage. LOL!

    FUNNY!

A woman was unhappy with the way her laundry was done at the Local Chinese Laundry, so she wrote a note and put it in the bag with the next collection of soiled clothes: "USE MORE SOAP ON PANTIES!"
    *
She got the clean laundry back, and was still dissatisfied with the results, so the following week she enclosed another note: "USE MORE SOAP ON PANTIES!"
    *
The Chinese laundryman became very annoyed, and when her clean laundry was delivered, it contained a note from HIM: "I USE PLENTY SOAP ON PANTIES!! USE MORE PAPER ON ASS!!"

    Jokey Joke!

A woman went to a pet shop & immediately
    spotted a large, beautiful parrot..

There was a sign on the cage that said $50.00.
"Why so little," she asked the pet store owner.

The owner looked at her and said,"Look, I should tell you first that this bird used to live in a house of Prostitutionand sometimes it says some pretty vulgar stuff."

The woman thought about this, but decided she had to have the bird any way.

She took it home and hung the bird's cage up in her living room and waited for it to say something.

The bird looked around the room, then at her, and said,
    "New house, new madam."

The woman was a bit shocked at the implication, but then thought "that's really not so bad."

When her 2 teenage daughters returned from school
the bird saw and said, "New house, new madam, new girls."

The girls and the woman were a bit offended but then began to laugh about the situation considering how and where the parrot had been raised.

Moments later, the woman's husband Keith came home from work.
The bird looked at him and said,

    "Hi, Keith"
